on listening to extremely intelligent people.

 Yesterday i was listening to Noam Chomsky, one of the greatest minds in the history of western thought. Chomsky said that language as designed by mother nature was for thought but that it isn't for communication. I am troubled by this, and maybe i don't understand what Chomsky means. I should like to ask him what does he mean by this remark.
